Four people were killed and several others taken to hospital Sunday after a gunman opened fire during a video game tournament at a shopping mall in Florida before killing himself, U.S. media reported.
The shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Associated Press said. The Los Angeles Times reported the gunman participated in a video game tournament at the mall and lost.
Local media said the perpetrator is a white male and police believe that he was the lone killer.
The fatal shooting took place at a riverfront mall in the downtown area of Jacksonville, Florida. In the southern U.S. state, 17 people were killed in a shooting rampage in a high school in February.
