Tokyo prosecutors plan to seek an extension of the detention period of former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn, who was arrested Nov. 19 for allegedly understating his remuneration in securities reports, sources close to the matter said.
The 64-year-old Ghosn was supposed to be held through Friday following an earlier request from the prosecutors.
